Introduction to Ashtanga Yoga – The primary series.

Ashtanga Yoga is a dynamic form of yoga that combines movement, the breath and points of focus (drishti) which combined cleanses the physical body, allows space for the mind to settle and bring us to a place of calm and relaxation.

This workshop will be accessible to all levels and I encourage any one who has an interest to join us.

The workshop will include: 

– Short seated meditation
.
-Introduction to the Ujjayi breath and it’s use within the Ashtanga vinyasa system of yoga 
.
-Introduction to the primary series sequence of asana (We will explore the standing sequence and part of the seated sequence)
.
– Ending the practice with a deep Yoga Nidra (relaxation)
.
– Tea, homemade vegan cakes and an opportunity for questions + chat.
