Seriously, London is just amazing for all things vegan! It really makes travelling as a plant based eater quite easy (especially in comparison to my last travels in Africa!) – and not just easy but delicious, fun and interesting.
It is also a chance to meet and learn from some really inspirational people who are doing so much to promote and encourage plant based living – in so many different ways.
Here are some very cool festivals and events happening in London over the weekend and next few weeks.
I wonder can I make it to all ?? I hope so – see you there!
When Saturday July 14th, 11am – 8pm Where Hackney Downs Studios, Amhurst Terrace, Hackney
Beer, street food, people from all over London (and further afield, like myself 🙂 ) and combine them all with some of this glorious London sunshine – you can count me in!
I love a nice beer of a weekend and I’m super excited to try out some of the vegan friendly beers and ciders that will be coming along for this.
So, yes- I can’t wait for this at the Hackney Downs Stuidos (also home to the Hackney Downs Vegan Market, which is next on my list). This festival is organised by The Fat Gay Vegan (as is the Hackney market, along with Eat Work Art) .
Okay check out the full list and get your tickets HERE. (£5 if you buy ’em now and £9 on the door, if any remain. Bargain!)
Why is beer not vegan friendly? (I’m reading up on this myself!) Some beers are brewed using animal by products, such as gelatin, glycerin and isingglass – a fishing industry by-product. *
When Sunday July 15th, 10am – 5pm Where Catford Broadway, London
I tell ya, London is amazing for vegan eating, events, movements and just has so much happening. This festival will take place on Sunday, July 15th.
Another day to taste and discover some of London’s finest plant based food – some jackfruit and seitan based grub, or maybe some more vegan cupcakes, fermented foods (Yes!!) and well just a whole load of deliciousness on offer here.
This festival has been created in collaboration with Plant Bass LDN (get it!?) who throw plant based parties, so there will be tunes to go along with all the eating, a drink and with some talks and demos planned.
Oh, it is also FREE! Sweeet, just register HERE.
When August 2nd, 5pm – 11pm Where 152 Brick Lane, London
A monthly vegan shindig held in Brick Lane.
With over twenty vegan food vendors but also DJs, live acts, good vibes, happy folk and just spreading the message around Plant based living.
I have my ticket for the next event which is happening on August 2nd. I can’t wait!
See you there for a boogie and some more food tasting.
Get your tickets HERE. £5 early bird, £7 after this.

When Friday July 13th, 6pm – 10pm Where Greenwich Market, London
Greenwich market and Plant Bass LDN run a monthly vegan collab.
Yet another chance to get in on some plant based vibes, eat some food, drinks and enjoy music, play a spot of ping pong and also there will be talks and educational stories from some of the people behind the plant based movement around these parts.
Some delightful great vegan street food stalls are lined up for this – from Caribbean inspired food, hot dogs, dairy free ice-cream and, well, just so much to chose from. There will also ethical clothes on sale and loads more!
Sounding awesome, eh?
